Compliance & Disclosures
Transparency is one of our core principles. This page sets out who we are, how we're regulated, how we're paid, the risks of investing, and how to raise a concern. Last updated 1 September 2026.
Standard risk warning: Mutual Fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully. Past performance is not indicative of future results. There is no assurance or guarantee of returns.

Mutual funds in India are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The distribution of mutual funds is governed by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). Registration with AMFI does not guarantee the performance of the distributor or assure any returns to investors.
2. Nature of services
Magathi Financial acts solely as an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor. We facilitate your investment transactions in regular plans of mutual funds offered by various Asset Management Companies (AMCs). We are not SEBI-registered Investment Advisers, and we do not provide investment advisory services for a fee.
Our role includes helping you understand product categories, complete KYC and onboarding, execute transactions, and provide ongoing service and support. The decision to invest in any scheme rests entirely with you.
The information on this website relates only to the mutual fund products we distribute. You may also consider products we do not offer — including the direct plan of any scheme, which you can buy from the AMC without a distributor and which has a lower expense ratio. The full list of mutual funds we distribute, with their SEBI registration numbers, is on our Registrations page.
3. How we are paid
As an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor, we earn commission / brokerage (including trail commission) from the respective AMCs for the schemes we distribute. This commission is paid by the AMC and is already factored into the expense ratio of the regular plan you invest in — it is not an additional charge deducted separately from your investment.
We do not charge you any separate advisory or distribution fee. Different schemes and AMCs may pay different commission rates; details of commission earned can be disclosed to you on request, in line with regulatory requirements. Because the commission is part of the regular plan's higher expense ratio, a regular plan's returns are lower than those of the direct plan of the same scheme.

4. Risk factors
Investing in mutual funds carries risks, including but not limited to:
- Market risk: The value of investments can rise or fall due to movements in equity, debt and money markets.
- Credit & interest-rate risk: Applicable particularly to debt schemes, where issuer defaults or rate changes affect value.
- Liquidity risk: Certain schemes or instruments may be harder to redeem quickly.
- Concentration risk: Sectoral or thematic funds may be more volatile due to limited diversification.
- No guarantee: Neither the AMC, the Mutual Fund Distributor, nor any party guarantees returns or the protection of capital.
Past performance of any scheme is not a guarantee of, or indicative of, its future performance. The NAV of schemes may go up or down depending on market conditions.
5. Conflict of interest
Because we are remunerated through commission from AMCs, a potential conflict of interest exists. We are committed to managing this responsibly by suggesting product categories aligned with your stated goals, timeline and risk profile, and by being transparent about our remuneration. We do not engage in churning of your portfolio for the purpose of generating commission.
6. No investment advice
The content on this website — including articles, calculators, fund-category explainers and illustrations — is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It does not constitute investment, financial, legal or tax advice, nor a recommendation, offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or scheme.
Calculator outputs are hypothetical, assume constant rates of return that markets do not provide, and are intended only to illustrate concepts. You should not rely on them as a prediction of actual returns.
7. Suitability & KYC
Before investing, you must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) as mandated by regulations. You should invest only after assessing the suitability of a scheme for your own financial situation, objectives and risk tolerance, and after reading the Scheme Information Document (SID), Key Information Memorandum (KIM) and Statement of Additional Information (SAI) of the relevant scheme.
8. Grievance redressal
We take client concerns seriously. If you have a grievance, please follow this escalation path:
- Contact us first: Write to mf@mfspl.com or call +91 98947 49352 / +91 97866 74745. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly.
- Escalate to the AMC: Each Asset Management Company has its own investor grievance / compliance officer whose details appear in the scheme documents and the AMC's website.
- SEBI SCORES: If still unresolved, lodge your complaint on SEBI's centralised portal SCORES at scores.sebi.gov.in (SEBI toll-free helpline: 1800 22 7575 / 1800 266 7575).
- SEBI SMART ODR: After exhausting the above, you may seek online conciliation/arbitration through SEBI's Online Dispute Resolution portal at smartodr.in.
- AMFI: Concerns regarding Mutual Fund Distributor conduct may also be raised with AMFI.
Designated Grievance / Compliance Officer: Mr. Balaji M (General Manager) · mf@mfspl.com · +91 98947 49352. Office: 160/27, Srinivasa Trade Center, 3rd Floor, DB Road, RS Puram, Coimbatore — 641 002.
8a. Investor awareness
- Deal only with AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributors and SEBI-registered intermediaries; verify registration before transacting.
- Invest directly through the AMC/RTA or your distributor — never hand over cash or sign blank cheques/forms, and make payments only in favour of the scheme (never in any individual's name).
- Never share your login credentials, passwords or OTPs with anyone, including our staff.
- Beware of schemes promising assured, guaranteed or unusually high returns — mutual funds carry market risk and no such assurance is permitted.
- Always obtain a valid acknowledgement/account statement for your transactions and review your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS).
